This website serves as an information and contact portal for the city's Official Plan Review.  

An Official Plan is a legal document approved by Council that contains the community’s vision and goals for the city. The Plan serves as a guide for the current and future growth of our built environment. 

We are now starting to review the Official Plan by establishing a new vision, goals and aspirations for today and the future. 

"Shape the Sault" refers to the process of reviewing and updating the current Official Plan. Community consultation is the building block.

We need to engage and involve the community as its vision is central to the review of the Official Plan. 

Together we can make the city of Sault Ste. Marie an even greater place to live, learn, work, play, and invest.
