The City of Sault Ste. Marie is excited to present the James Street Neighbourhood Strategy.
This five-year plan for rejuvenating the James Street neighbourhood includes improvements for Anna Marinelli Park and the James Street pedestrian mall, better pedestrian and cyclist crossings on Carmen's Way between Queen and Cathcart streets, and ways to make the James Street neighbourhood a more attractive and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
This plan has been drafted with input from many residents and community members. We have been working on this plan since September of last year, including hosting public neighbourhood meetings at the Soup Kitchen Community Centre, and are excited to share our draft recommendations.
We are now inviting all interested residents and community members to view the draft James Street Neighbourhood Strategy, and to share questions and comments with us. Any input received will be useful as we prepare to present the James Street Neighbourhood Strategy at the Monday, October 26, 2020 City Council meeting.
Thank you for your interest!
